Today was Free and Controlled Practice at the worlds famous Yatabe
Arena Worlds Championship and that means the new Hot Bodies D216
made its very first public appearance on astroturf.
As we anticipated, not having attended the Warm-up event back in June the Hot Bodies team here at the Worlds (Ty Tessman and David Ronnefalk) had a sort of slow start. Here is what they had to say:
Ty: "Today was a bit of a struggle. We tried to get our car right, we are getting closer and closer. This is a little bit unique for us, our car is new and we are making progress, so I am excited to see what tomorrow brings. I think we can get our car closer, every run has been better. We will try some more stuff tomorrow morning and see what happens."
David: "Today we were
excited to go on the track for the first time. When we saw the
first cars going round the track, some section are really nice and
then you have the speed-bump section where everyone seems
struggling so everything is going to be up to that section of the
track, so I guess more and more guys are adjusting their car for
that very section, as you can loose half a second only on that
section. That's what I've been testing today, to get the car works
good there. I made improvements during the runs, my last one was
actually pretty good. I made some shock position adjustment and it
works way better. I am looking forward for tomorrow
qualifying."
